10th May update
It’s been a couple weeks since we last provided an update about the build at Cornerstone Centre St John’s but lots has happened in the past couple of weeks; the electricians, plumbers, plasterers and carpenters are all racing to get the retail units finished for the end of May.
They will then be handed over, so the tenants can fit-out their areas with the furnishings needed to turn them back into fully-fledged shops! This is likely to be complete and ready for reopening in early July, and discussions are being had in terms of balancing the needs of the shops with that of the remaining building works – to keep everyone safe and to keep things moving.
It will be a juggling act for the last couple of months of building works, but we are getting there. In other areas, all the new velux roof windows have been installed for the new staff offices upstairs and the foundations for the new Hall extension have been completed.
